We are seeking an experienced Sales Director to lead our sales efforts in the CPG food and beverage sector. As a Sales Director, you will be responsible for driving revenue growth, client acquisition, and team leadership. Your expertise in the CPG industry, combined with your strategic mindset, will be critical in achieving our sales targets.
Responsibilities:
Sales Strategy and Planning:
Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies to achieve revenue and growth targets within the CPG food and beverage market.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Product Development and Operations, to ensure alignment and success.
Client Acquisition and Relationship Management:
Identify and pursue opportunities for market expansion, including new product lines and entry into untapped markets.
Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with existing clients and prospects.
Understand client needs and tailor solutions to meet their requirements.
Team Leadership:
Lead and motivate a high-performing sales team.
Set clear performance goals and provide coaching and feedback.
Foster a collaborative and results-oriented team culture.
Market Analysis and Trends:
Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market dynamics.
Use market insights to drive sales strategies and adapt to changing conditions.
Negotiation and Contract Management:
Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with clients.
Ensure compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
Sales Reporting and Forecasting:
Utilize existing resources to run sales reports and analysis to support future sales initiatives and decisions.
Provide accurate sales forecasts to senior management.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field (Master's preferred).
Minimum of 10 years of field sales experience in the CPG industry, with a focus on food and beverage.
Proven track record of exceeding sales targets and client acquisition.
Excellent negotiation skills and interpersonal abilities.
Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
