    **Description**

    GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES: Under general supervision of the Senior Sales Manager and Store Manager, the Sales Manager is responsible for the development and performance for the sales associates. Staffs and directs a sales team and provides leadership towards the achievement of maximum profitability and growth in line with company vision and values. Responsible for maintaining a friendly and professional environment by greeting and acknowledging every customer and co-worker that approaches. Job requires being reliable, responsible, and dependable. Must have attention to detail and be thorough in completing work tasks. Perform any other duties as directed by management.

    EXAMPLES OF WORK PERFORMED: Coach and counsel your sales associates; meet daily with your sales team; offer them the advice, support, motivation, or information they need in order to help them meet their sales objectives; supervise the sales floor; make sure your salespeople are doing everything they should be doing to successfully sell; it is your responsibility to see that the sales floor operations functions smoothly; work directly with customers and employees across all departments; assist with any problems associated with merchandise in conjunction with customer service and warehouse operations; work on an organizational level with other departments to ensure customer needs are met; answer customers questions about products, prices, availability, and product uses; emphasize product features based on analyses of customers needs; help locate or obtain merchandise for customers; describe merchandise and explain use, operation, and care of merchandise to customers; knowledge of methods for showing, promoting, and selling products; use excellent customer relations; Ensuring department is presentable to the customer by straightening merchandise as needed; assigning and performing opening and closing duties, which involve but are not limited to, fluffing pillows, repositioning merchandise, picking up trash, etc.; any other duties as directed by management.

    EMPLOYMENT STANDARDS: Ability to communicate effectively with team members; positive attitude when working with customers; knowledge of employment and safety procedures.

    PHYSICAL ACTIVITY REQUIREMENTS: To successfully perform the essential functions of the job, an employee must be able to perform the following: Stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, climbing, crawling, walking, pulling, lifting, talking, hearing/listening and repetitive motion.

    Heavy Work: Lifting up to 50 lbs occasionally, and/or up to 10 lbs constantly to move objects.

    Work Environment: Works in an indoor, climate controlled environment.
