    Salary: $75,000 - $85,000 yearly

    Green Spoon Sales is seeking a Key Account Manager in the San Diego / Orange County region to engage with and assist in managing grocery retail accounts.


    Responsibilities:

    • Cultivate and enhance relationships with designated Key Accounts, category managers, and Distributors (UNFI / KeHE, etc.)
    • Foster positive and reliable relationships with all stakeholders. Address issues promptly and courteously.
    • Collaborate with the team to enhance efficiency and productivity.
    • Take proactive steps to support retailers, distributors with store openings, distributor tabletops, Expo, etc.
    • Create and propose strategic promotional plans for key stakeholders.
    • Monitor and report on competitors' activities related to our stakeholders, such as new items, pricing, packaging, etc.
    • Coordinate with the Green Spoon leadership team to brainstorm ideas for expanding our stakeholders' business and offer suggestions for enhancement. This includes strategic discussions on managing Supermarket / Conventional business as the overlap of the two channels continues.
    • Participate in and contribute to all team meetings.

    Measurable Objectives:

    • Present and obtain buyer approvals for new products at designated key accounts.
    • Establish and collaborate with UNFI / KeHE representatives of assigned accounts.
    • Secure prominent placement in planograms.
    • Prepare and submit New Items Forms, Distributor and Retail Promotions, etc.
    • Secure important retailer appointments for our stakeholders.
    • Attend retailer meetings with stakeholders and assist with all documentation and reporting.
    • Manage and supervise category review schedules relevant to our stakeholders.

    Qualifications:

    • A college degree is highly preferred.
    • The ideal candidate should be based in San Diego / Orange County or nearby.
    • 3+ years of pertinent natural/conventional grocery experience selling to HQ.
    • Preference given to candidates with organic and natural product experience.

    • Strong time management abilities
    • Capacity to juggle multiple tasks
    • Passion for organic food and products
    • Must have a smartphone and computer for job duties
    • Green Spoon provides Microsoft Office Suite
