    Previous experience and a background within the commercial art world is not required.

    About the Opportunity:
    Marketing Assistant | $50-55kSeeking an experienced and dedicated Assistant to join our global Marketing organization.

    Reporting to the Chief Marketing Officer, the position will also provide support for the marketing departments as a whole for administrative needs, campaign planning, and execution, as well as project-related tasks.

    The ideal candidate will have experience and/or a strong subject matter interest in contemporary art and multichannel marketing.

    The position will involve contact with a variety of teams at the gallery and therefore excellent interpersonal skills are required as well as the ability to balance key conversations in a thoughtful and nuanced way.

    This role provides the opportunity to be part of a multifaceted team that works closely alongside global gallery teams across all aspects of programming including exhibitions, fairs, artist management, private sales, books, podcast, prints & editions, and more.

    A successful candidate should have a proactive mindset, global outlook, and be a polished communicator with high attention to detail, and fine-tuned organizational and problem-solving skills.


    What you'll do:
    Be the CMO's right hand by attending key meetings, taking notes, and being an active participant and knowledgeable resource while ensuring executive preparation and effectivenessManaging CMO's correspondence and schedule with thoughtful prioritization around time managementEffectively communicate and coordinate with internal cross-functional teams, across Marketing, Digital, Sales, and Operations departmentsProviding administrative support to the marketing department, coordinating, scheduling meetings and events, managing and processing invoices and receipts, tracking department and org projections and expenses, procuring materials needed by department staff, overseeing department storage and inventory counts, collaborating with other gallery departmental assistantsSupport on x-channel campaigns and activations including live events, digital campaigns, advertising, partnerships, client outreach, direct mail, and morePlan travel and manage expense reportsFoster team culture through planning and executing on team-building events and outreachWhat we would like you to have:The ideal candidate will have a BA degree or equivalentA minimum of two years of related experience in arts, marketing, design, public relations or related industriesSuperior writing and communication skillsPositive energy, willingness to learn, and a proactive, can-do attitudeThorough and detail-oriented with the ability to pivot quicklyEnthusiasm for working in a fast paced environment on multifaceted, multichannel projectsStrong knowledge of and passion for contemporary art, editorial & publishingGoogle Suite toolset (Gmail Docs, Drive, Calendar)
