Established in 1990, RP specializes in the multi-family builder and showroom markets, and has rapidly grown to serve light commercial construction, mixed-use, and national account markets.
RP Lighting is currently seeking the right individual to fill an immediate need for a Central Regional Sales Manager.This is a remote role that will support the Central Region Our ideal candidate must be in the Central time zone, preferably within easy commuting distance of locations in TN, IL, IN, MN, or MOResponsibilitiesLead and drive independent manufacturers' representatives to budget and grow wholesale customersDevelop account planning with major customers using customer focused selling skills, prospecting and lead qualification, and identification of decision making and customer buying criteriaLead budget and business planning for the Northeast RegionParticipate with the corporate sales team in development of sales strategy in order to meet assigned goals and objectivesCreatively approach representatives, customers, and markets to improve the RP Lighting sales and market share with eachSupervise sales of assigned territory and representatives to ensure sales goals are achievedVisit customers and industry trade shows on a regular basis and document meetingsCommunicate product trends, stay actively informed of sales activities of competitors' product offerings, and participate in new product implementationCross and quote competitive bills of material; handle pricing and gross margin in assigned region within corporate guidelinesAssist customer service in providing information, post sales support, and technical expertise to customers and representativesProvide various sales and management reports as requiredQualificationsMinimum 2 years' experience in a regional management role within the commercial lighting industry is requiredExperience leading and selling in the Multi-Family / Multi-Tennant building industry is helpfulBachelor's degree preferred and/or combined education and experience equivalentPrior experience working with independent customers, wholesalers, manufactures across multi-product categories is a plusMust be comfortable with market disruption and adaptable to constructive changeAbility to think differently while motivating and mentoring a team of independent manufacturer's representativesProficiency in Microsoft Office software (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, etc.)

$7, $19,057.50Estimated Ranges displayed are Monthly for Salaried roles OR Hourly for all other roles.
