Description

Position Purpose:

Responsible for overseeing the operation, control and reconciliation of the divisional payroll function for over 1000 employees with annual payroll and executive payroll, garnishments and taxable fringe benefit disbursements of $20 million.

Essential Functions:

• Responsible for entering, transmitting and reporting salary payroll to ADP.

• Provide leadership by resolving inquiries from employees arising from interpretations of payroll regulations.

• Oversee and manage a full process semi-monthly payroll for multiple business units.

• Enforce established payroll related policies, procedures and regulations for the division.

• Participate in payroll functional excellence teams to help streamline efficiency of payroll functions.

• Demonstrates continuous effort to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, rationalize work processes and work cooperatively to provide quality seamless customer service.

• Balance payroll accounts by auditing information, identifying and resolving discrepancies and completing payroll journal entries.

• Lead role in assisting with payroll requests for Internal and External audits.

• Process weekly hourly payroll for Lebanon location.

• Complete all hourly payroll reporting requirements as needed.

Education and Training:

• High School/GED required.

• CPP certification preferred.

• Associates degree preferred.

Education and Training:

• 3+ years minimum payroll experience.

• Skilled at using database, spreadsheet and word processing software applications.

• Flexibility to cross train in other Accounting functions.

• Significant payroll processing experience required, ADP experience preferred.

• Knowledge of payroll earnings and regulatory deduction requirements.

Physical Demands:

• Frequent sitting and working at computer for extended periods of time.

Environmental Conditions:

• Office setting.

• Minimal exposure to R&D lab and manufacturing setting.

Behavioral Traits:

• Must demonstrate ability to prioritize in a fast-paced multi-task environment.

• Must demonstrate ability to understand, interpret and comply with all company policies and procedures.

• Excellent data entry, phone and organizational skills.
