    Human Resources Manager

    Location: New York, NY (Hybrid)

    Job Type: Temp to perm

    Pay Rate: $32 - $37/hr

    An excellent non-profit organization seeks an HR Manager to join their New York, NY team on a temporary-to-permanent basis. The role involves overseeing HR operations and ensuring smooth functioning. The ideal candidate should have expertise in multi-state payroll management, employee relations, and policy development. This position demands strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to HR matters.

    Responsibilities:

    • Ensure compliance with tax laws and reporting requirements during multi-state payroll management.
    • Establish and uphold HR policies and procedures for legal compliance and operational efficiency.
    • Address employee relations matters such as conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and grievances.
    • Organize employee training sessions on HR policies, compliance, and workplace behavior.
    • Lead recruitment and onboarding processes, including sourcing candidates and conducting interviews.
    • Administer employee benefits programs and manage enrollment and communication effectively.
    • Keep abreast of employment laws and regulations to maintain compliance.
    • Collaborate with senior management to devise strategies for employee retention and development.
    • Maintain HR records, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality.

    Skills and Qualifications:

    • Preferably hold a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
    • Knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to handle confidential information.
    • Experience in employee relations, including conflict resolution and performance management.
    • Capability to develop and implement HR policies aligning with organizational objectives.
    • Proficiency in HRIS and payroll software.
    • Strategic thinker with the ability to independently make decisions and solve problems.
    • Excellent organizational and time-management skills with great attention to detail.
