Description

Under the supervision of the Vice President of Human Resources and Administration, the Manager of Human Resources provides administrative support and benefits management for the staff at the Museum of Jewish Heritage.

This role requires a discreet, personable, and detail-oriented individual who can efficiently manage Human Resources tasks.


Responsibilities:


  • Assist with recruitment activities and all aspects of the Selection Process from job posting to screening and scheduling interviews.
  • Assist in new employee onboarding and orientation processes.
  • Prepare employment documents such as offer letters and termination notices.
  • Maintain the personnel file records (I9, background checks, etc.) and ensure data security.
  • Facilitate employee benefit enrollments and maintain benefit records.
  • Assist with Human Resource compliance tasks, including EEO reporting and policy updates.
  • Assist with Collective Bargaining and Labor Relations
  • Oversee payroll for union and nonunion employees, including timely adjustments.
  • Assist in the development and integration of diversity strategies, goals, and reporting.
  • Contribute to a positive work environment.

Requirements:


  • Excellent verbal, written, and listening skills.
  • Minimum of 4 years work experience in the nonprofit Human Resources field preferred
  • Knowledge of federal, state, and local employee laws and regulations
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive HRrelated information
  • Detailoriented with exceptional organizational abilities.
  • Must work well independently and in a team environment.
  • Must have the legal right to work in the U.S.
  • Strong time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines.

Position Details:


  • Reports to the Vice President of Human Resources and Administration
  • Salary compensation range $65,000 $75,000 with generous benefits
