1. Right to information

If the user decides to register for our service, they will be asked for the strictly necessary data to achieve the purposes for which the website is intended.

The information the service receives from the user

Includes the information entered at the time of registration (necessary information) and all the information the user decides to share in the different functionalities of the platform (optional information).

Registration information

To use the beBee service, the user must register with their personal data: first name, last name, email address, date of birth, contact phone number, gender, location, and professional sector.

Information shared by the user

Includes all interaction actions the user performs on beBee: shared content and updates, uploaded photos or videos, comments, joining affinity groups, following other users, and using the tool to import contacts from their email address book.

Publication of user information

As it is a professional network where profiles are public to help recruiters find them, most of the information provided by the user is published: first name, last name, photo, work experience, city of residence, education, courses and certifications, group affiliations, languages, skills, professional services offered, links to other networks or blogs, and network of contacts.

All this information may be available to the public (including non-registered individuals). If the user does not want all or part of this information to be displayed publicly, they can cancel their account or contact customer support to request unsubscription.

Indexing in search engines of public profiles

Profiles on the service are public on the Internet and may be visible in search engines (including name, photo, and shared information). If the user does not want this information to appear, they must unsubscribe from the service and request de-indexing. beBee will take technical measures to inform search engines to stop indexing the profile. The request can be made by sending an email to soporte@beBee.com. Search engines may take time to reflect the changes.

Private user data

The data provided in the private section of the profile is not shown publicly. However, when a user applies for a job offer, that data is communicated to the offering company to evaluate the application and contact the interested party. Private data includes, among others: date of birth, email, phone, gender, salary, postal address, nationality, work permit, driver's license, availability to travel/move, and attached CV.

Use of user information

We use the information to provide services and functionalities in the best possible way to users, companies, partners, and advertisers. The main service is to provide relevant content (including suggestions and targeted ads) based on gender, age, profession, location, interest groups, and other data collected before and after registration.

With this information, we perform internal operations: data analysis, troubleshooting, research, development, and improvement of the service and interface.

We do not share user information without their consent through reading and accepting these policies. By accepting them, the user grants permission for these purposes. The data is for the exclusive use of the service and is not shared with advertisers or external organizations.

Exception: in the event of a change of ownership or sale of part or all of beBee, user information may be shared with third parties who will use it in accordance with this policy and future modifications, with prior notification and consent when applicable.

The data is kept for as long as necessary to provide the services. Information associated with an active account is maintained until the account is permanently deleted; certain data may be retained for specific legal or operational reasons.

Services provided to users

beBee is a website for job searching by individuals and professionals by companies, and a professional social network that connects people by profession and/or interests. After registration, services and tools based on affinities are offered: job board, projects, leisure, training, technology, travel, automotive, dating, e-commerce, etc. The user's profile receives relevant content based on declared interests and observed behavior.

To this end, users are asked to truthfully complete an electronic form with the necessary personal and professional information.

The provided data will be incorporated into a file registered with the Data Protection Agency, of which beBee PLATFORM S.L. is the owner.

Services we provide to recruiters

  • Posting job offers and/or projects.
  • CV database.
  • Management of selection processes; professional groups, training, networking, news service, promotions, and third-party offers.
  • Electronic communications service.
  • Premium tools for recruiters and users.
  • Personal data is stored in a beBee database, registered with the Data Protection Agency. The data is adequate, relevant, and not excessive concerning the purposes of beBee. Technical and organizational measures have been adopted for its security in accordance with Royal Decree 994/1999 and other applicable procedures.

By creating an account, the user gives their unequivocal and express consent to the processing of their personal data for the purposes and services provided, as well as, where applicable, to the transfer of data to third parties necessary for the fulfillment of the service (according to the privacy control conditions). For these purposes, "third parties" are the entities that use beBee's services. Users authorize beBee to access their data, regardless of their privacy level, to inform them of offers that match their profile.

Electronic communication service

Alerts

Automatic and free reception of jobs, services, and other opportunities through electronic communications (email, browser notifications, and SMS), including service emails (registration, password reminder, invitations, etc.), keyword alerts, location/interests/groups alerts, job newsletter by province and categories, and training newsletter. The user can deactivate these alerts in their Private Menu > Alerts/Notifications or through the unsubscribe link included in each email.

Other communications

beBee may send registered users (via email, SMS, web, postal mail, and mobile devices) news, promotions related to beBee, commercial offers, and advertising from sectors such as recruitment, music, TV, cinema, radio, communication, training, hospitality, finance, distribution, sports, travel, insurance, NGOs, publishing, automotive, employment, real estate, meteorology, distance selling, energy, fashion, textiles, video games, health, water, consumption, leisure, administration, electronics, and telecommunications, among others.

  • beBee newsletter: tips, reports, trends.
  • Sector newsletter: information about employment in specific sectors.
  • News: updates from beBee and its tools.
  • Advertising: promotion of third-party products and services.

3. Content published and shared by the user

Content control

User messages, comments, and recommendations are public and displayed alongside their name and profile picture. They can be seen by any internet user.

The content of an account is the responsibility of its owner. All generated content becomes the property of beBee and is deleted upon account closure. The user is responsible for the legality of what they disclose (including images, videos, or content with rights). beBee is not responsible for such content.

Tags and links. Any user can include links (URLs) and tags in their actions and updates. A tag usually mentions another user and links to their profile. If a user does not want to be tagged, they should contact the person tagging them; if it persists, they can block them to prevent further tagging.

Hives or affinity groups

The user decides which hives they belong to and when to leave them. By belonging to a hive, their content may be displayed on the user's wall. The user may be mentioned, tagged, or linked in updates from other members.

Content created within a hive can be read and used by any internet user; beBee is not responsible for the disclosure of information made in these forums.

The user can delete their own posts at any time, although other users may have copied the previously shared information.

Searches

All users can search within beBee to find other users inside and outside their hive (professional sector), as well as companies, hives, job offers, keywords, etc.

Company and institution pages. Company, university, and other entity pages are public on beBee. The information published will be visible to its creator (member of the institution) and followers, who can be seen by the owner and other users.

Cookies and IPs

The user accepts the use of cookies and IP tracking. Our traffic analyzer uses cookies and IP tracking for statistical purposes (first visit, number of visits, last visit, URL and domain of origin, browser, and screen resolution). The user can deactivate/delete cookies by following their browser's instructions.

4. Ads from the activity of crawling and indexing other websites

The jobs shown in search results or linked from them may be provided by external sites over which beBee has no control. beBee automatically indexes offers from external sources and assumes no responsibility for their content.

Indexed ads are not subject to prior control. beBee does not conduct recruitment consulting; it merely collects and facilitates ads published by advertisers and informs users of updates in the chosen categories. The Advertiser is solely responsible for the content of the offer. beBee does not participate in negotiations between Advertisers and Users nor does it perform quality, safety, or legal checks on the offers or the veracity of the information sent by Users.

5. Right of Revocation, Opposition, Access, Correction, Update, and Cancellation of Data

The user has the right to access their personal data, rectify it if it is incorrect, and unsubscribe from beBee services. They can revoke their consent at any time for justified reasons, without retroactive effects. These rights can be exercised through the website settings. In case of problems exercising them online, questions, or disputes about our privacy policy, they can write to the address indicated in "Contact details".

beBee complies with current legislation on personal data protection and with the confidentiality commitments inherent to its activity.

The processing of personal data and the sending of electronic communications comply with the General Data Protection Regulation of the European Union, Organic Law 15/1999, of December 13, on the Protection of Personal Data, and Law 34/2002, of July 11, on Information Society Services and Electronic Commerce.

Policy changes

In case of changes to the data use and privacy policy, users will be notified, and the update will be published in this document. If significant changes are made, the notification will be more prominent according to the circumstances.
