    Job DescriptionThe Operations Coordinator (Inpatient Operations) provides overall support to the Nursing Operations Center, reporting to the Senior Director of Nursing Operations.

    Responsibilities vary by shift but include monitoring staffing schedules and interface with electronic scheduling/payroll system.

    This individual problem-solves for staffing solutions and payroll issues, functions as resource to nurse managers and others with the electronic scheduling system and is responsible for all training required.

    In addition, the Coordinator provides continuous information to nursing leadership regarding staffing hours, skill mix, etc., and provides quality oversight for data accuracy.

    The Coordinator supports Assistant Nurse Managers and Nursing Administrators (evenings and nights) as needed.
    Responsibilities1. Assists nursing managers and directors with all day-to-day responsibilities as summarized above.2. Develops and maintains financial and staffing reports from computer management systems to Nursing and hospital leadership.3. Performs entry maintenance of data for nursing staff into scheduling system.4. Functions as liaison with Nursing Payroll for the completion of weekly payroll, resolves errors or other payroll inquiries.5. Contacts and schedules per diem, full and part-time staff to work as staffing and census dictates. Facilitates appropriate staffing levels according to nursing unit needs and acuity.6. Maintains accurate listing of per diem staff and regular staff who state availability to work.7. Maintains RN registration documentation for all nursing staff (regulatory requirement).8. Assists Assistant Nurse Managers and Nursing Administrators on off-shifts and weekends as needed (non-clinical)9. Responsible for training new Nurse Managers on payroll and scheduling functions.10. Assists with program adaptations/updates as needed to support clinical and financial reporting11. Functions as Liaison with IT to ensure system integrity.12. Active member of User Group for scheduling/payroll system with Nurse Managers, staff, Payroll.13. Other duties as assigned.
    QualificationsEducation RequirementsHS diploma/GEDExperience RequirementsPrior experience in working in an office environment collaborating with many different people/projects.
