    Description


    LHH is partnering with a company in Pittsburgh that is looking to add an Accounting Manager to their Corporate Accounting team.


    The Manager is responsible for performing day‐to‐day general accounting activities requiring a general understanding of business processes and the ability to investigate and explain variances in business results from period to period.

    The role will participate in the month end financial statement closing process and will prepare internal and external financial reports.

    Perform general accounting activities requiring general insight and depth of understanding.

    Specific tasks will include preparing journal entries, reconciling account balances, review of invoices for appropriate classification and other operational duties, as well as executing well‐defined steps in accounting analysis, forecasting and budgeting activities.

    Assist in preparation of internal and external financial statements; support external reporting process. Investigate accounts; understand and communicate causes of variances between actual, forecasted, budgeted and last year results.
    Review and process invoices to ensure appropriate classification and timely payment.

    Qualifications
    Bachelor degree in Accounting/Finance
    4-10 years of experience preferred
    Strong interpersonal skills and effective communicator across all levels of the organization. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Able to present information in a meaningful & concise formats
    CPA required, MBA desired
    Strong leadership skills with an ability to affect change through objective analysis and reason
    Highly organized, with strong multi-tasking skills to effectively manage multiple and competing priorities and demands
    Strong systems orientation to ensure maximizing current reporting systems
    Advanced proficiency level in MS Excel and PowerPoint
