- Leads involvement with clients (both current and prospective) and is involved in presentations and communication in the development of future business opportunities.
- Regional business plans including:
- Regional Outlook
- Business Segment potential
- Market Positioning Strategy
- Competitor Analysis
- Strategic Initiative development
- Identifies project leads.
- Go/No Go project analysis.
- Involved in project pursuits or win strategy development.
- Meets with prospective clients, architects, engineers and influencers.
- Reports Business Development activities on a weekly basis.
- Pursuit tracking with percentage win likelihood, fee and timeframe considerations.
- Proper loading/use of Cosential (marketing database / CRM)
- Plans Marketing material.
- Plans project presentations.
- Leads team formation and operational delivery planning.
- Involved in Partner/JV planning and recommendation(s).
- Customer Service measurement and follow-up
- Participates in National Relationship development (with A/Es, Program Managers, etc.).
- Participates in Marketing Summits to align marketing priorities and project targets, visit projects and engage customers.
- Participates in industry conferences (i.e. aviation, university, healthcare, etc.) as necessary.
- Participates in Business Development industry groups and associations (, ULI, NAIOP, REC GFW, GDPC, NTCAR, etc.).
- Bachelors degree in construction or business-related field
- Generally requires 5-10 years of combined construction and business experience
- Adobe Suite (basic understanding)
- Understands/has experience loading information into database system for client management, entering potential opportunities, addition of positioning notes for pursuit strategies.
- Understanding of how to read construction schedules, estimates, and proposals
- Understanding of the Houston Construction Industry is preferred

The purpose of this job is to identify and develop new business for the company through effective marketing and positioning.
