About Rick Neudorff:

Rick Neudorff currently is the Director of Business Continuity & Emergency Management
for Insperity.
Previously he was a COVID-19 Private Sector Coordinator at CISA, a position that
coordinated with the private sector and external partners with CISA on Infrastructure and
supply chain issues. In 2020 Rick served as Senior Advisor for the State of Maryland’s
Business Emergency Operations Center for Covid-19 response. He has also served as a
consultant with the US Chamber of Commerce, Premier Inc, In-N-Out Burger and
numerous companies on Covid-19 re-opening plans.
From 2014 to 2019, Rick served as Emergency Command Center Manager for Lowes
Companies, Inc. headquartered in Mooresville North Carolina. In that role he coordinated
emergency inventory staging throughout the year and overall company execution of
emergency events that involved any of their stores. Additionally, he maintained the
company relationships with Federal, State and Local Emergency Management Agencies.
He is a graduate of the FEMA EMI Advanced and Executive Emergency Management
Academies. Rick was the 200th graduate of the Executive Academy in 2018. He is a
graduate of the University of Texas in Dallas and will graduate this December from
Arkansas Tech University with a Masters’ Degree in Emergency Management & Homeland
Security.

Experience

Director of Corporate Continuity & Emergency Management | Insperity 10/2021 – present

Responsible for development, implementation and ongoing management of the Corporate Business Continuity and Crisis and Emergency Management programs. This role collaborates with key stakeholders within the organization to evaluate current processes, systems, and applications to further enhance the business resiliency, emergency preparedness and overall response capabilities of the organization while ultimately minimizing the recovery time of impacted systems and processes post-event.

Manager, Supply Disruption & Disaster Preparedness | Premier, Inc 12/2020 – 10/2021

Worked closely with the Sourcing Operations team and across Supply Chain Services on various projects and operational responsibilities which support the Supply Disruption and Disaster Preparedness programs. This position led the operational and project management functions of Premier’s Disaster Preparedness and Response team as well as the Premier Product Disruptions Team. Solely responsible for establishing and maintaining the organization’s platform that will support our national membership in the prevention, notification, response, and recovery of impacts to patient care due to product disruptions.

During times of disaster, managed the operational needs of the Premier Disaster Preparedness & Response team. 

COVID Operational Industry Coordinator | U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA), National Risk Management Center – Washington, DC, 2020 -2021

 

Worked with FEMA to support critical infrastructure restoration, supply chain resilience and critical business continuity in COVID response environment. Delivered marked improvements in communication and collaboration between public and private sector partners.  Partnered with CISA Regions to identify key supply chain partnerships and helped develop analytic requirements to support supply chain resilience.  Organized regular industry outreach, worked with NRMC Planning and Coordination Division, to identify critical needs as well as opportunities for innovative public-private solutions.  Tracked COVID related commodities, supply chain issues for vaccine delivery and administration and developed recommendations for senior leadership and Operation Warp Speed.  Served as regular liaison with ESF-14 and COVID CAT on industry issues related to COVID. Served as member of COVID-19 Future Foresight Strategic Advisory Group

 

Senior Advisor | Maryland Emergency Management Agency BEOC – Coronavirus Outbreak Response                 2020 - 2020

Delivered subject matter expertise, while overseeing and coordinating MEMA BEOC for Coronavirus response. Ensured effective organization of materials warehouse operations and all private sector engagement with Maryland BEOC. Organized and maintained day-to-day BEOC conference call with external partners for informed decision-making. Facilitated top-leadership through preparing and presenting daily reports and any additional unidentified ad-hoc project items. 

  • Reestablished and revamped the Business Operations Center as an organized and independent department, within the Maryland Emergency Management Agency.
  • Drafted and presented After Action Review for future activations and improvements needed for future successes.

Command Center EOC Operations Manager | Lowe’s Companies, Inc. - Mooresville, NC                                         2014 – 2019

Administered and maintained Command Center Control Room and retail store operations throughout emergency and weather-related events. Established and ensured timelines to complete annual planning activities for hurricanes and winter storms. Led and trained permanent and event specific teams with keen focus on development and execution of cross-functional emergency response plans and operational procedures across enterprise, as well as, externally with state and federal agencies, vendors, and third-party logistics providers. Planned and implemented effective methods to evaluate emergency event operations from Command Center to responsible functional areas. Fostered external partnerships with Homeland Security, FEMA, NORRAD, State EME and military leaders; collaborated with external partners during major events and propelled corrective actions. Prepared and presented comprehensive reports/information to senior leaders to ensure safe operations, while translating statistics and advising management on recommended criteria and corrective actions. Ensured event readiness, response, and recovery by delivering emergency management education and training.

Supply Chain EME Specialist Project Manager | Mitsui Bussan Logistics, Inc. - Dallas, TX                                        2008 - 2014

Governed and led new business logistical projects to include planning, procurement, receipt, distribution, inventory, accountability, maintenance, and reporting for improved outcomes and deliverables. Spearheaded new client onboarding to identify savings, maximum logistics efficiencies, and optimize overall opportunity. Monitored and maintained essential product inventory to best prepare and respond to weather-related emergency events. 

  • Established and maintained point of distribution for 7-11 stores during weather related disaster events.
  • Evaluated and delivered ideal cost cutting proposals by analyzing monthly actuals vs. models per client.
