Mercury Hampton is currently representing a leading manufacturer and distributor of industrial valves based out of Houston.

We are seeking an experienced, Highly motivated and driven Business Development Manager to join a global scaling business based in Houston covering the Texas state.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies to target new clients and penetrate existing accounts
  • Maintain and strengthen relationships with key decisionmakers in the valve manufacturing, distribution, and enduser industries
  • Conduct market research to identify emerging trends, competitive landscape, and potential growth areas
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop targeted campaigns and promotional materials
  • Prepare detailed proposals, presentations, and contract negotiations to win new business
  • Provide regular updates on sales pipeline, forecasts, and performance metrics to the leadership team
  • Mentor and support the sales team to enhance their product knowledge and selling skills

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in business development or sales, in the valves or industrial equipment industry
  • Proven track record of consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Ability to analyze complex data, identify growth opportunities, and develop strategic plans
  • Proficient in using CRM software and other sales enablement tools
  • Willingness to travel extensively within the region to meet with clients and attend industry events
