    The salary range is $74,010 to $105,518 Please note that the final salary will be determined by our Classification and Compensation team after reviewing the candidate's experience and considering our internal salary equity.


    Title:

    Contracts and Resolution Manager
    Department: College and Career Readiness (GEARUP)

    Reports To: Executive Director, College & Career Readiness


    Job Summary:

    Oversees the day-to-day operations of the office. Manages the finances, resolution writing, contract management and budget monitoring. Directs all office staff on contract negotiation with vendors, contractor monitoring and navigating the contracting process.

    Manages special projects that support high school activities and the goals of the office and ensures that all programmatic activities are in compliance with District policies and procedures.

    Essential Functions:


    • Manages the contracting process; guides program managers with the vendor statement of work and budget creation; disseminates information on the District's contracting and financial policies and procedures to prospective vendors; gathers the required information to complete the contracting forms; tracks and facilitates the approval process for all contracts and trouble shoots any process or policy issues associated with a contracted service.
    • Manages the action item process; works with program managers, prospective contractors, and partners on developing the action item; prepares detailed written reports for submittal to senior management; communicates information pertaining to the action item process and trouble shoots issues on an ongoing basis; assists in responding to questions from senior management.
    • Assists in the creation of an effective and efficient work flow.
    • Develops and maintains a cooperative relationship with various central offices, learning networks and schools.
    • Assists on any special projects as assigned. Additional Essential Functions GEARUP Specialty.
    • Ensures appropriate follow-up to contract agreements, including payment of invoices and collection of match documentation.
    • Uses best practices to resolve any issues which arise in a timely manner.
    • Assists with grant requirements including completing necessary paperwork, documentation, and binders
    Minimum Requirements:

    Bachelor's degree in education, business, communications or a related field from an accredited college or university.


    Five years of full-time, paid, professional administrative experience, which has involved working in an educational setting and has included managing projects and budget and working with community or corporate partners or contractors, at least three of which have been in a supervisory or administrative capacity.


    OR
    Any equivalent combination of training and experience determined to be acceptable by the Office of Talent.

    o methods and techniques used in effective program planning, design and administration.

    o school reform initiatives and current issues facing urban public education.

    o software applications used to maintain databases.

    Ability to:

    o interpret all relevant District and federal rules and regulations concerning program administration.

    o guide and channel resources, ideas and recommendations for problem solution and program refinement.

    o plan and direct program operations.

    o effectively lead and manage a work team.

    o manage and interpret data.

    o use a personal computer.

    o communicate, both verbally and in writing.

    o establish and maintain positive and effective working relationships.
