    Overview

    Reporting directly to the CFO/General Counsel, the Human Resources Manager should be involved in all areas that concern employee welfare and serve as a liaison between employees and Flanigan's if there is an issue or grievance. The job duties include but are not limited to:

    Responsibilities

    Hiring
    • New hire authorizations (verifying rehire eligibility, background checks, DMV checks, INS verification).
    • Onboarding through iCIMS.
    • Enter new hires in ADP.
    Employee Relations
    • Field complaints of harassment from employees, lead investigations regarding these allegations, and communicate with the parties involved.
    • Speak with current and former employees to address concerns regarding their employment or termination.
    • Provide current and prospective employees with information regarding policies, procedures, benefits, etc.
    • Assist with termination when necessary.
    Workers' Compensation
    • Review incident reports to determine whether a reported incident involves an employee injury that needs to be reported to our insurance carrier.
    • Submit claims to workers' compensation insurance carrier.
    • Follow up with injured employees and their managers.
    • Communicate with workers' compensation insurance adjuster and attorney.
    • Oversee the administration of any other workers' compensation related tasks.
    Health Insurance
    • Assist eligible employees during open enrollment.
    • Review and balance health insurance invoices.
    • Answer benefit-related questions.
    401K
    • Assist eligible employees enrolling in the plan.
    • Assist employees with filling out paperwork for loan requests.
    • Enter and adjust contributions and loan deductions in ADP.
    • Assist auditors with 401K audit.
    Policies
    • Revising and updating policies as needed.
    • Other duties as assigned.
    Legal
    • Work with Flanigan's legal department on cases pertaining to employees.
    • Assist with subpoena responses as needed.
    Unemployment
    • Respond to unemployment claims.
    • Appeal claims decisions when necessary.
    Administrative
    • Handle yearly renewals of various Flanigan's subsidiaries on
    • Renew vehicle registrations for Flanigan's vehicles.
    • Reorder office supplies as needed.
    • Act as the point person for any office related issues.
    Qualifications
    • Candidates need to have the following experience and skills:
      • The minimum educational requirement for this position is a bachelor's degree.
      • The minimum related experience required for this position is 5 years.
      • Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
      • Computer literate with knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. Working knowledge of iCIMS preferable.
      • Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
      • Strong decision-making skills including the ability to extrapolate from written procedures and policies.
      • Effective organizational skills and time management skills are necessary.
      • Must have high level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations.

      • Ability to multi-task, prioritize competing projects, and manage requests/assignments in a timely manner.
