    Description

    Lead Human Resources at a dynamic fintech company located in downtown Las Olas Join the management team as a key player in propelling the business forward, responsible for end-to-end employee lifecycle management including recruiting, people operations, engagement, L&D, strategy, and data & analytics. This is a unique opportunity for a results-oriented HR professional who loves to build in a friendly, flexible, and collaborative atmosphere.

    Duties/Responsibilities:

    Recruitment and Staffing: Overseeing the recruitment process, including job postings, interviewing, hiring decisions, and onboarding new employees. Work with management to ensure the staffing needs of the company are met efficiently and effectively.

    Employee Engagement and Retention: Implementing strategies to increase employee engagement and reduce turnover.

    Collaboration with Senior Management: Working closely with senior management to align HR strategies with business goals, particularly in the context of non-QM lending challenges and opportunities.

    Employee Relations: Managing employee relations, addressing concerns, administering disciplinary actions, and maintaining a positive work environment. This includes ensuring compliance with labor laws and company policies.

    Learning and Development: Implementing and monitoring employee training programs to enhance skills and knowledge relevant to the mortgage lending industry, especially around non-QM products.

    Performance Management: Developing and executing performance management processes, including performance reviews, goal-setting, and feedback mechanisms.

    Compensation and Benefits: Administering employee compensation plans, benefits programs, and ensuring they are competitive and compliant with legal requirements.

    Policy Development and Compliance: Developing and updating HR policies and procedures in accordance with state and federal regulations, especially those relevant to the mortgage lending industry.

    HR Data and Analytics: Using HR data and analytics to make informed decisions and improve HR processes.

    Qualifications:

    Bachelor's degree

    5+ years' experience in Human Resources, preferably in the mortgage lending or financial services sector

    Experience in a dynamic, startup environment strongly preferred

    Experience in a management and/or leadership position strongly preferred

    Strong recruiting and demonstrated ability to improve talent acquisition strategies

    Demonstrated expertise training managers and employees

    Strong organizational, critical thinking and time management skills

    Attention to detail and good judgement

    Proactive and independent with the ability to take initiative

    Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills

    Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
