    Job Summary

    Our client seeks a Strategic Account Manager to take charge of designated territories and named accounts, ensuring quota fulfillment. The ideal candidate excels in fostering strong relationships, effectively articulating complex value propositions, and managing the entire pipeline and client relationships, including expansion and upselling efforts.

    Responsibilities include working with both existing and new customer bases to promote new products and services, developing and executing quality account plans, and closing new business. Face-to-face and virtual engagement with key stakeholders such as Superintendents, Chief Information Officers, and district administrators is required. The role demands maintaining a robust pipeline with accurate forecasts, surpassing revenue goals, proactively addressing client challenges, and crafting tailored proposals. Proficiency in products and services, self-direction, and home office maintenance are essential for achieving sales goals and expectations.

    Requirements

    • Ideal target experience of 5+ years in enterprise SaaS sales
    • Proven track record of meeting quarterly/annual quota targets
    • Demonstrated ability to manage lengthy, complex sales cycles and coordinate multiple groups (Sales, Solution Engineers, Marketing, Engineering, Executives)
    • Expertise in profiling under-penetrated accounts and devising strategies to establish new relationships, including at the C-suite level
    • Preferred experience in managing State-level agency relationships/accounts and consortiums
    • K-12 or EdTech experience preferred, though not mandatory
    • Ideally, experience selling business applications (e.g., CRM, ERP, Analytics)
    • Target companies include , Microsoft, SAP, Oracle, ServiceNow, IBM, Workday, and other smaller EdTech firms
    • Proven success in creating and implementing territory plans for accounts with minimal existing presence, emphasizing rapid relationship-building to accelerate pipeline growth
    • Strong executive presence with a track record of engaging with c-suite level customers
