    JK Executive Strategies is proud to partner with a professional regional theatre in search of a Director of Development to join its team


    The Director of Development is responsible for strategically leading all fundraising activities to achieve contributed revenue goals across individual, corporate, foundation, and government sources.

    Reporting to the Executive Director, the Director provides vision and direction to expand the Theatre's donor base, identify new revenue streams, and ensure long-term financial sustainability.


    This is a wonderful opportunity for someone who is passionate about the arts, and has experience in donor relations, relationship building, fundraising and team leadership.

    Responsibilities
    Overall Fundraising Strategy and Execution
    Build and implement fundraising strategies for major gifts, capital campaigns, annual fund, endowment, etc. to achieve budgeted revenue goals across all contributed revenue streams (government, foundations, corporations, individuals, special events).
    Identify new sources of revenue and grow contributed revenues to balance with earned revenues.
    Oversee processes like foundation grant applications and special events like the annual gala.


    Board and Donor Relations:
    Collaborate closely with the Board of Trustees to enhance development efforts.
    Attend full Board meetings, Development Committee meetings, and gala Committee meetings.
    Demonstrate commitment to exceptional donor service and stewardship.

    Strategic Leadership
    Serve as an integral part of the senior leadership team, reporting to the Executive Director.
    Work collaboratively with the Executive Director, Artistic Director, and Marketing Director.
    Monitor and report on fundraising progress versus goals, adjust as needed.

    Team Management
    Oversee a team of direct reports in the development function.
    Mentor staff, set achievable goals, and conduct performance evaluations.
    Demonstrated skills in organization and effective delegation.

    Requirements
    A clear focus on goals for all involved in the development function of the organization.
    Proven experience engaging with Board members and a commitment to exceptional donor service.
    Demonstrated organizational skills and an ability to delegate effectively.
    A passion for theatre that embraces the art form's spirit of collaboration.
    A robust history as a fundraiser for non-profit organizations with a preference for experience in the performing arts.
    Exhibit empathy, kindness, diplomacy, and humor in the workplace.
    Experience in developing strategies to ensure organizational stability and long-term sustainability in a post-pandemic environment.

    Salary Range
    $100,000-$120,000
