SUMMARY OF POSITION


Kinsley is seeking an experienced
Director of Training and Development for our growing Human Resources Development team in York, PA.

The Director of Training and Development will be responsible for improving the productivity of the organization's employees. This position assesses company-wide developmental needs to drive training initiatives and identifies and arranges suitable training solutions for employees. This position actively searches, creatively designs, and implements effective methods to educate, enhance performance and recognize performance.


TYPICAL RESPONSIBILITIES / ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Conducts annual training and development needs assessment.
  • Obtains and develops effective training materials by utilizing a variety of media methods, like, presentations, manuals, training outlines, and videos.
  • Leads and manages a team of development program managers, employee development instructors, and training facilitators by providing coaching, feedback, and professional development opportunities to enhance team performance.
  • Conducts followup studies of all completed training to evaluate and measure results.
  • Promotes the desired culture and philosophies of the organization.
  • Reviews and updates training programs to address business needs, industry trends, and feedback from employees.
  • Ensures training programs comply with industry regulations, safety standards, and legal requirements.

EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, Organizational Development, Education, or a related field or relevant work experience is highly preferred.
  • Previous experience working in a training/development position is required.
  • Strong leadership skills and experience is required.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, writing, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to plan, multitask and manage time effectively.
