    Position Overview
    The Accounting Manager role is responsible for all day-to-day and month end close accounting functions for LGE Design Build.


    This includes having the ability to effectively communicate accounting and project related matters with both internal and external customers quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

    Function of Position

    Responsible for LGE Design Build accounting functions includes:

    Oversight and ensuring customer billings, accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash disbursements, job cost, journal entries, balance sheet reconciliation and tracking waivers are accurate and timely.

    Track all PDA and AIA cash received, payments made, and budgets are accurate and timely.
    Manage the setup and tracking of all project contracts and budgets current in progress.
    Review and provide aid in monthly preparation of month end billings, WIP reports, and financial metrics.
    Provide valuable insight into both PDA and AIA projects.

    Oversight of all lien waivers:

    Subcontractor and Supplier Conditional Progress and Final Payment Lien Waivers, Subcontractor and Supplier Unconditional Progress and Final Payment Lien Waivers and LGE's Conditional and Unconditional Progress and Final Payment Lien Waivers.

    Review consultant agreements, research, and resolve billing and budget discrepancies.
    Oversight and provide spend analysis on project cost and general requirements.
    Provide input into the development and improvement of accounting processes for efficiency improvements.

    Ensure that full-service accounting for LGE Design Build including and not limited to billing, accounts payable, credit card and expense reports are being held to the highest standard.

    Ad hoc reporting and analysis on an as needed basis

    Required Attributes:
    Proactive, team player, positive attitude, and willing to go the extra mile.
    A minimum of 3+ years accounting experience, construction industry background and job costing experience a plus.
    Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Excel, Outlook and Word, and Sage 300 experience a plus.

    Work cooperatively and effectively with others to set goals, resolve problems, and make decisions that enhance organizational effectiveness .

    Assess problem situations to identify causes, gather and process relevant information, generate possible solutions, and make recommendations and/or resolve the problem.

    Understand ethical behavior and business practices and ensure own behavior and the behavior of others are consistent with these standards and align with the values of the organization
    Reporting
    This position will report directly to the Controller.
