    Accounting Manager ($100,000 - $110,000)

    LHH Recruitment Onsite in Austin, TX

    LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking an Accounting Manager for a client in the energy industry. This role encompasses overseeing the day-to-day financial operations of the company, managing all accounting aspects from the general ledger to financial reporting, and ensuring compliance with US GAAP and SOX controls.

    The ideal candidate should have an extensive background in both public and private financial management. In addition to holding a CPA, the ideal candidate will have experience in the fixed asset/heavy equipment industry and possess exceptional organizational and communication skills.     Responsibilities:

    • Supervise daily accounting operations, including the management of the general ledger and financial reporting.
    • Develop, implement, and ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures per US GAAP.
    • Provide leadership and training to the accounting team, managing their performance and professional growth.
    • Analyze financial data and report findings to aid management in decision-making.
    • Ensure all accounting practices adhere to internal controls and assist with SOX compliance documentation.

    Client Requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting; an MBA is preferred.
    • CPA certification is preferred.
    • At least seven years of experience in financial management roles, progressively responsible.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Dynamics GP is advantageous.
    • Proven skills in SOX internal control design, testing, and remediation.
