    Description

    Tax Manager Accountant

    Location:
    Irvine, California

    Salary:
    $130K-$160K

    Tax Manager Accountant is responsible for management and review of tax preparation, tax research, and planning with minimal supervision. This position will also work directly with clients and supervise and assist tax staff personnel with preparation of tax returns and research. This position will also work directly with Tax Partners on more complex tax returns and planning.


    The right candidate will be willing and able to:


    • Manage the workflow and review of tax returns and perform tax research
    • Preparation and review of complex and multi state tax returns.
    • Respond to tax notices from taxing authorities
    • Review tax information supplied by the client and will meet with and/or contact client regarding general or complex tax questions
    • Recognize, anticipate, and resolve tax issues and make recommendations
    • Assist and supervise tax staff in the preparation of tax returns and research.

    What You'll Need:


    • 5 Plus years of prior public accounting experience
    • CPA certified a must
    • Strong organization, problem-solving and analytical skills
    • Diligent work ethic and dedicated to providing superior client service
    • Possess integrity, be trustworthy, dependable, and a team player
    • Excellent communication skills - oral, written, and interpersonal
    • Strong client handling and engagement skills
    • Must be proficient in corporate, partnership, and individual tax return preparation and tax planning
    • Ability to review interim and annual financial statements
    • Experience in managing multiple client engagements at the same time
    • Prior basic supervisory experience is a must
    • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office and QuickBooks is required
    • Lacerte tax software is preferred but not required
    • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the US without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future
