- Answers telephone and gives information to callers, takes messages, or transfers calls to the appropriate individuals.
- Sets up insurance claims for assignment on a claims platform.
- Opens, reads, routes, and distributes incoming mail and other materials.
- Administers department programs, projects, and/or processes.
- Makes copies of correspondence and other printed material.
- May assist in other processes such as reconciliation, vendor payment request, etc.
- May train/mentor Administrative Assistants.
- High School Diploma or Equivalent Required
- 2-4 years related experience.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and follow-up skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to think critically and apply appropriate responses.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and respond accordingly.

About the Position
This is an insurance claims environment. Performs routine clerical and administrative functions such as reviewing new losses for assignment, organizing/maintaining paper and electronic files, issuing payments, providing customer service and information to internal and external customers, and any other tasks as assigned.
