    Description

    A recognized law firm in California is currently seeking a new Administrative Assistant to join their Litigation team in San Diego. In this role, the Litigation Administrative Assistant will be responsible for providing high-level legal & office support to Partners, Associates, and Paralegals.

    Responsibilities:

    The Litigation Administrative Assistant will:

    • Prepare, revise, and finalize correspondence, pleadings, documents, and other clerical assignments as delegated
    • Maintain attorney calendars, make travel arrangements, and process monthly expense reports
    • Run conflict checks and open new client/matter engagements
    • Maintain electronic and paper client files and set-up billing requirements for clients. You will enter attorney time in time entry system
    • File documents with appropriate courts, including e-filings, schedule depositions and other client meetings, communicate with clients as necessary
    • Assist with billing/client invoices and maintain and update contacts
    • Perform other duties, as needed

    Qualifications:

    • 2+ years of recent State & Federal Litigation experience within a Law firm
    • Associate's and/or Bachelor's Degree
    • Knowledge of Legal terminology
    • Experience with basic Administrative functions
    • Computer savvy (65+ wpm)
    • Microsoft Office proficient
    • Solid problem solving and time management skills
    • Exceptional phone etiquette
    • Great interpersonal skills
    • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
    • Strong attention to detail
    • Highly organized

    Desired Skills:

    • Previous experience in a Litigation role/setting
    • Experience with a Document Management system, Docketing system, and/or Billing & Time Entry programs
