DESCRIPTION:


Under the supervision of the Patient Services Supervisor and working in an independent manner, the Clinical Administrative Assistant is responsible for the overall management of assigned physician's clinical practice and academic appointment.

The Clinical Administrative Assistant will support multiple physicians.

Primary responsibilities include managing all aspects of the physician's complex calendars, updating all required systems with the physician's schedule and assisting patients through the Radiation Oncology department clinic and keep them informed of processes.

Ensures continuity and coordination of care by scheduling all patient appointments from consultation to follow-up.

Using sound judgment, the Clinical Administrative Assistant will independently set priorities, meet established deadlines and work effectively in a high volume environment.

Will provide support to all Patient Services functions as needed (Front Desk Reception and fellow Clinical Administrative Assistants).


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:


  • Three (3) years of experience working as an administrative assistant in a large healthcare setting. Some college coursework; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Ability to interact with physicians, employees, patients, and family members in a professional manner at all times.
  • Must be able to prioritize, adapt to constant change, multitask, and work independently without direct supervision.
  • Anticipate problems, and ability to resolve them in a timely and professional manner.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:


  • A Bachelor's Degree.
  • Experience in Radiation Oncology.
  • Epic experience.

SPECIAL CONDITIONS:


  • May be required to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Must be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs.

Annual Full Pay Range:
$40,700 - $81,850 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%)


Hourly Equivalent:
$ $39.20


Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.

The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position.

The Annual Full Pay Range may be broader than what the University anticipates to pay for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable).
