We are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join our financial team for a 6-month contract. This position is based on-site at our St. Louis, MO campus, with work-from-home permitted only on Fridays.
The role provides financial support for capital projects across our North American operations, focusing on timely processing and payment of invoices.
As part of this role, you will collaborate with various teams, including Accounts Receivable and Project Management, and engage with external vendors to resolve payment inquiries.
Key Responsibilities:
Audit backup documentation included with invoices, such as timesheets and material receipts, before forwarding them for payment approval.
Ensure timely and accurate processing of invoices by sending them to the offshore Accounts Payable team, while monitoring and tracking any payment issues.
Generate reports on invoice-related issues through monthly metrics using Excel.
Contribute to process improvements and help develop new ways of working to enhance efficiency.
Required Skills & Experience:
Proficiency in SAP, specifically in Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Finance, is strongly preferred.
Strong skills in Excel, Outlook, DocuSign, and SharePoint.
Experience with financial analysis and auditing of invoices.
Education and Experience:
A background in business or accounting is a plus.
Previous experience in accounts payable or a related financial role.
Excellent organizational and communication skills.
Pay:
$ $25.50 /hr.
