Compensation:
$20.00 to $22.00 per/hour
LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Accounts Payable Specialist in St. Louis, MO. The Accounts Payable Specialist will be responsible for processing invoices, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring timely payments. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a keen eye for accuracy. This role requires proficiency in accounting software and the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues across departments.
Responsibilities:
Process incoming invoices accurately and efficiently, verifying details such as quantities, prices, and terms.
Match purchase orders with invoices and ensure proper authorization for payment.
Review and reconcile vendor statements to ensure all outstanding invoices are accounted for and resolved in a timely manner.
Prepare and process electronic transfers and payments, including ACH payments and wire transfers.
Investigate and resolve discrepancies or issues with invoices, purchase orders, or payments.
Communicate with vendors to address inquiries, resolve billing discrepancies, and negotiate payment terms.
Maintain accurate records of accounts payable transactions and ensure all documentation is properly filed and archived.
Assist with month-end closing activities, including accruals and reconciliations.
Collaborate with the accounting team to improve processes, implement best practices, and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
Generate reports on accounts payable activities, aging analysis, and cash flow projections as needed.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
Proven experience as an Accounts Payable Specialist or similar role, with a strong understanding of accounts payable processes and procedures.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to resolve issues independently and efficiently.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively interact with vendors and internal stakeholders.
Knowledge of accounting principles and practices, including GAAP.
