    Assistant Restaurant GM at Kashkaval Garden

    Are you passionate about the restaurant industry and ready to take on a leadership role? Our established, locally owned restaurant and wine bar in Hell's Kitchen is seeking an Assistant Restaurant General Manager to support our General Manager in day-to-day operations.

    Responsibilities:

    • Team Leadership: You'll work closely with our FOH (front-of-house) and BOH (back-of-house) staff, ensuring smooth operations and maintaining a positive work environment.
    • Staff Hiring and Training: You'll help recruit, train, and mentor new team members.
    • Business Success: You'll participate in monitoring the overall business performance and help align our operations and promotions to maximize our potential.
    • Customer Service Excellence: You'll provide and work with the team to provide exceptional hospitality and guest satisfaction.
    • Compliance: You'll ensure we are maintaining NYC DOH (Department of Health) standards on-site.


    Qualifications:

    • Experience: You've successfully worked in restaurants of similar size (approximately 60 seats) and taken on some management responsibilities in hospitality.
    • Kitchen Comfort: While not required to be a chef, you're comfortable in the kitchen and knowledgeable or eager to learn about food, wine, and liquor ordering.
    • Flexibility: You appreciate a fixed schedule but can support the team beyond regular hours.
    • Passion: Your enthusiasm for food, wine, and hospitality shines through in your positive attitude and your work.
    • You already have your NYC Dept of Health card
