About the Role
The General Manager is responsible for leading the daily operations of the restaurant.

They direct and coach the salaried management team in the process, ensuring the team member experience, guest experience, and financial health of the business align with our company's standards, vision, and goals.

The General Manager actively leads by example, inspires, and teaches skills to elevate the guest experience, their teams, and their restaurant.


Restaurant General Manager Responsibilities:

  • Works with the Director of Operations and ownership to develop and execute strategies to achieve operational goals at the restaurant level
  • Implements, monitors, and finetunes clear strategic initiatives
  • Is a leader for the entire team and unites both FOH and BOH towards a common goal of continually raising the bar
  • Conducts weekly manager meetings and creates the weekly preshift template
  • Ensures the restaurant team delivers on top service standards; touches tables at every service to cultivate regulars
  • Ensures consistent execution of food, beverage, service, and hospitality that aligns with our values
  • Proactively manages prime costs with an eye on the daily, weekly, monthly, and annual projections and budgets
  • Submits weekly schedules that deliver an excellent service experience while remaining fiscally responsible for budgeted targets
  • Forecasts and monitors weekly sales and labor numbers and adjusts at the moment to ensure hospitality and financial targets are achieved.
  • Creates a talent pipeline of lead FOH and BOH team members
  • Interviews and approves the hiring of all hourly team members
  • Ensures that operational and training standards are consistently followed and executed by the entire restaurant team

Restaurant General Manager Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2+ years experience in a senior management position overseeing a fullservice restaurant
  • A passion for excellence in hospitality
  • Proven track record of overseeing highrevenue streams
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • Proficiency in a variety of technology systems, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint), Payroll, POS, and COGS Systems
  • Ability to effectively communicate verbally and digitally
  • Excellent strategic planning skills with an emphasis on delivering, executing, and assessing action plans
  • Ability to effectively solve and deal with a variety of changing situations under stress
  • Selfdriven, resultsoriented, and proactive attitude
  • A solid track record of leading highcaliber service
  • Flexible work schedules: the ability to work night, weekends, and holidays, as business permits
