- Lead strategic projects by digging into both internal and external data, developing hypotheses, and executing analyses
- Translate data into insights and make recommendations to Faire's Finance Leadership Team based on your findings
- Research industry practices and use Faire-specific context to help Faire improve internal processes
- Work with Strategic Finance Senior Lead to help advise our early marketplace advertising product team
- You will be required to regularly demonstrate the ability to exercise independent discretion in decision-making and problem-solving to make a meaningful impact on the business.
- Must possess a bachelor's degree
- You are a currently enrolled MBA student who has 3+ years experience in analytical, financial, or strategic roles
- At the start date of the internship, you must be a current MBA student (should not have graduated by May 2024)
- By the time you start, you will have completed at least six months of coursework
- You are a team player that wants to win while also having fun with teammates along the way
- You have advanced strategic financial knowledge and are able to manipulate large data sets, uncover hidden insights in our data, and meaningfully improve our understanding of our business through this process
- You have SQL experience
- You are resourceful and not afraid to roll up your sleeves

About this role
The Finance and Strategy Team's mission is to maximize the long-term value of Faire by helping drive optimal investment decisions and by partnering on execution. We work closely with our cross-functional partners and bring a data-driven approach to analyzing business opportunities. We wear several hats at Faire including strategic growth planning, company-wide performance management, and business analytics.
We are looking for an outstanding MBA intern to tackle strategic, operational, and analytical projects to help drive quality growth. At Faire, you'll have the chance to lead analyses that will have a meaningful impact on how we understand, forecas, and govern our business. This is an ideal role for someone who is naturally curious and wants to work in a fast-paced, highly collaborative, and data-driven environment.
We're looking for candidates open to working in San Francisco, CA. Our internships are paid and 10-to-12 weeks in duration.
What you'll do
Faire's flexible work model aims to meet the needs of our diverse employee community by making work more flexible, connected, and inclusive. Depending on the role and needs of the team, Faire employees have the flexibility to choose how they work-whether that's mainly in the office, remotely, or a mix of both.
Roles that list only a country in the location are eligible for fully remote work in that country or in- office work at a Faire office in that country, provided employees are located in the registered country/province/state. Roles with only a city location are eligible for in-office or hybrid office work in that city. Our talent team will work with candidates to determine what locations and roles are eligible for each option.
