    Structural Project Manager - New York City

    Position Purpose:

    Responsible for oversight of service teams that perform investigation, analysis, and examination of a building as it relates to the structural elements, and surrounding site conditions that effect the building's overall performance. Review of ongoing work (reports, correspondence, calculations, drawings, etc.) of staff for the completion of project activities (field and office).

    Responsibilities:

    Manage technical and administrative aspects of Structural Design service opportunities from proposal preparation to final acceptance by client, including invoicing and accounts receivable.
    1. Review design/analysis specifications and calculations for active projects to be accurate and updated on active projects.
    2. Review remediation and/or design work plans, Project Specifications, Bidding Documents, cost estimates, and related submissions as they relate to city requirements for presentation to clients, and city/state/federal review and permitting.
    3. Review assessment information gathered during site investigations.
    4. Supervise contractors and staff to ensure contractors adhere to the contract documents (field/office) and prepare summary documentation for presentation.
    5. Reviews and comments on technical reports ensuring structure and language utilized is easily understood by client and grammatically correct.
    6. Provide feedback to direct reports in the form of performance evaluations, training, development, and improvement plans. Mentors new team members regarding work processes, company policies, safety, time reporting and general office rules.
    7. Create and maintain project schedules, change orders and budgets; identifies resources to be used for each project ensuring that all projects are sufficiently staffed and kept on schedule in accordance with client agreements.
    8. Assist incoming employees with policies, updates within the deliverables, site visits, and overall procedures from beginning to end of a projects duration.
    9. Contribute to overall performance, growth, and business development by working on cross-functional teams in order to meet unified goals.
    10. Manages project budgets and invoicing. Processes invoices on time and develops project budgets.
    11. Perform other duties as needed and assigned.
    Job Environment:
    • This position is in New York City and may require some travel. Valid driver's license required.

    Required Skills

    •Must be a licensed PE in the State of NY

    •Bachelor's degree in civil engineering from an Accredited university

    •5+ years' experience as a PE; experience managing multi-discipline structural design projects.

    •Solid experience with NYC Agencies (i.e. DOB, DOT, LPC)

    •Experience with projects based in NYC
    Skills:

    •Knowledge of Risa required.

    •Familiarity with Mathcad, and Revit

    Pay Range

    $80,000.00 Annually to $100,000.00 Annually
