Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Manager to serve as an internal resource and be responsible for leading and managing complex IT projects from initiation to completion in adherence to the department's processes and governance.


The successful applicant will have a hybrid work arrangement, and the position's starting annual salary range is $105,000 - $115,000, with a 10% annual incentive opportunity.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of IT projects, ensuring adherence to project scope, timelines, and budget constraints.
  • Define project objectives, requirements, and success criteria in collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and resource allocation plans to ensure timely and efficient project delivery.
  • Provide regular reporting on project status to manager and executive team and escalate issues accordingly.
  • Provide input to continual improvement efforts related to the department's governance policies, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Monitor project progress, performance metrics, and key milestones, providing regular updates to stakeholders and senior management.
  • Manage project budgets, track expenses, and report project financials to stakeholders.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks, issues, and dependencies to minimize project disruptions and delays.
  • Facilitate communication and collaboration among project stakeholders, ensuring alignment of project goals and expectations.
  • Lead and motivate crossfunctional project teams, providing guidance, support, and direction throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Assist with the development, implementation and adherence to PMO processes and policies utilizing project management best practices related to processes, methods, tools, guidelines and standards.
  • Assist with the management of the overall IS Portfolio including facilitating meetings, tool administration/update and report generation.
  • Conduct postproject reviews and lessons learned sessions to identify areas for improvement and best practices.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in project management to continuously enhance project delivery capabilities.
  • Ensure confidentiality; adhere to AAA's information security and data privacy policies, procedures, and practices.
  • Demonstrate regular, reliable, predictable job attendance and attend meetings and training sessions.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field or an equivalent mix of education and Informational Technology experience; minimum of 7 years of related work experience; including a minimum of 4 years working in the role of Project Management; experience managing multiple projects concurrently; or equivalent mix of education and experience.


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Knowledge of project management methodologies, tools, and techniques (e.g., Agile, Waterfall, Scrum, PMBOK).
  • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Jira, Asana).
  • Ability to effectively communicate with technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
  • Skill in negotiation and conflict resolution to manage stakeholder expectations and resolve issues.
  • Knowledge of IT infrastructure, software development lifecycle, and emerging technologies.
