    Lead Photographer

    American Exchange Group is a leader in the fashion industry, offering a strong portfolio of widely respected brands, including Aerosoles, Jones NY, Mudd, XOXO, White Mountain, Danecraft, and Naturewell. Our brands span multiple categories, including fashion watches and jewelry, tech wearables, footwear, handbags and small leather goods, cold weather and fashion accessories, and beauty and personal care.

    We are seeking a Lead Photographer to join our creative services hub. This role will work across all divisions and brands to ensure content is selected and edited in a manner that is cohesive with the brand's DNA. This is a fully on-site position based in the Garment District of NYC.

    Primary Job Responsibilities:

    • Act as primary photographer for the department
    • Oversee and manage the workflow of the in-house Photography team
    • Collaborate with Production Coordinator to assign projects to in-house photographers and track assignment progress to ensure all tasks remain on schedule
    • Set expectations with relevant cross-functional team members on turnaround time
    • Create and design line sheets for each category and brand per season
    • Manage and organize the flow of samples that need to be archived
    • Photograph product based on seasonal and brand needs/requests
    • Using Photoshop and other tools review, retouch, crop, etc. photos according to organizational goals, guidelines, and specifications
    • Maintain all cameras, computers, and other photography equipment
    • Additional work-related projects as needed by the business.

    Skills & Competencies:

    • Candidates MUST submit a link or attachment including any relevant work and/or a portfolio.
    • 3 years design experience.
    • Experience with CADs.
    • Proficient using Capture1
    • Proficient using Photoshop.
    • Experience with file management
    • High level of creativity and innovation, attention to detail, and efficiency while working under tight deadlines and on multiple projects simultaneously.
    • Passion for your work and the overall business.
    • Adhere to project schedules and effectively report progress to meet deadlines.
    • Demonstrated ability and willingness to be flexible for business needs.
    • A strong ability to build cross-functional partnerships and work collaboratively.
    • Highly organized, detail-oriented with a desire to work in a fast-paced environment.
    • A growth mindset: desire to learn, grow, and embrace new ideas.
