Job Description:


Location:

New York, NY

This role will report to the Global Design Director, GQ and is based in New York, NY. Working at Conde Nast's NYC office 3 days per week is required.


Responsibilities may include:

  • Create thoughtful and dynamic editorial illustrations for stories across print and digital platforms. These will range from photo collages to fullyconceived original artwork.
  • Create unique still and motion assets for videos, social media posts, newsletters, live events, and more.
  • Layout and design pages of the print magazine, including front of book and well features.
  • Commission editorial illustrations.
  • Design logos and branding for franchises and series.
  • Work closely with the design team to maintain quality and consistency while evolving GQ's global visual identity.
  • Additional responsibilities as assigned.

Desired Skills and Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree in design or related area of focus.
  • Skilled in the areas of graphic design, illustration, typography and animation.
  • Proficiency using Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign and After Effects.
  • Extreme attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Open to working a flexible schedule.
  • Familiarity with and interest in GQ. 2+ years of relevant work experience working in media (or similar field).
The expected base salary range for this position is from $65,000-$72,000.

Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including but not limited to relevant skills, training, experience, and education.
