    Description
    BioMed Realty is looking for an Accountant to assist the Property Accounting group.

    The successful candidate will work with a dynamic team to provide financial and accounting support for a portfolio of properties; including auditing and closing books, preparing statements and establishing and maintaining accurate records.

    This position offers a hybrid work model, which includes 4 days in office and 1 day remotely. Hybrid work may be modified based on the needs of the company.


    Key Duties and Responsibilities:
    Prepare monthly/quarterly financial statements for multiple properties
    Review and approve invoices
    Reconcile balance sheet accounts
    Prepare variance analyses
    Review special billings, including CAM, property tax and insurance billings, and manual billings for coding and accuracy of documentation
    Assist with annual budget process for assigned portfolio
    Generate journal entries plus any other applicable journal entries and other functions related to the portfolio


    Job Specifications:
    BA/BS in Accountancy, Finance or related field
    2-3 years of accounting experience with an emphasis in real estate industry preferred
    Solid understanding of basic Accounting principles and ability to apply them to day-to-day responsibilities
    Experience with accounting software, MRI preferred

    Proficiency with MS Office:
    Word, Excel and Outlook required
    Detail-oriented with strong follow-through skills
    Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment

    Salary Range:
    $ $38.00 per hour + bonus + benefits

    The above represents the expected salary range for this job requisition. Ultimately, in determining pay, we'll consider location, experience, and other job-related factors.
