    Description

    A Kuleana Rum Works Regional Sales Manager is responsible for managing all sales, distribution, and brand building activities across all markets within their assigned territory. The job demands a highly motivated, organized, and knowledgeable beverage industry professional with proven sales experience. This individual will be responsible for growing sales and distribution of the Kuleana Rum Works portfolio across the territory, as well as leading coordination and execution of events. There are three critical components to the job: direct in person account selling (80%), distributor management (10%) and event execution (10%). This position will be tracked against clearly communicated sales goals, including depletions, accounts sold, menu and shelf activation.

    This position will report directly to the Chief Sales Officer.

    Key Responsibilities:

    · The #1 objective of this role is to deliver their depletion plan

    · Manage distribution of all Kuleana Rum Works products in all assigned markets

    · Build target account strategy to execute within assigned territory for all channels

    · Open and call directly on key accounts, looking to maximize volume potential

    · Create long term partnership in targeted account universe

    · Convert existing shelf placements into floor displays

    · Utilize all available POS to help maximize sales

    · Execute events to build the brand and drive sales at the account level

    · Train account staff on brand attributes and selling points

    · Establish and maintain strong relationships across all levels of distributor management

    · Coordinate closely in the market with distributor sales teams

    · Facilitate new item launches with both distributors and the trade

    · Communicate brand updates and distribute updated sales support materials

    · Conduct educational brand and category presentations at distributor sales meetings

    · Conduct retail tastings, on-premise staff trainings and consumer events in all channels

    · Conduct quarterly sales reviews with distributor management

    · Other duties as may be assigned

    Requirements

    • Salary Exempt, year-round, full-time
    • 5+ In Person Account Calls per business day
    • Approximate Hours: 40-50 per week
    • This position requires a valid driver's license and a reliable vehicle
    • Employee must be able to travel as required to perform the work
    • Understanding of the Hotel/Resorts Channel and Regional Buying Accts universe
    • Employees must adhere to all applicable company policies and procedures
    • Willingness and ability to work non-standard business hours, such as nights, weekends, and holidays, on an as-needed basis is required

    A successful candidate will have/be:

    · Prior beverage alcohol sales experience is a must have for this position, either with a supplier, distributor, or broker

    · Strong knowledge of the local market

    · Existing relationships with key accounts

    · Able to work independently and to plan their own time and activities

    · Comfortable working in a high-performance, fast paced entrepreneurial team

    · Able to manage and operate within established budgets

    · Detailed oriented, highly organized with ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks

    · Willing to work nights and weekends/non-traditional hours

    · The desire to completely immerse yourself in a product category and become a brand expert

    · Excellent written and verbal presentation skills

    · Demonstrated computer proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook

    · Able to always conduct oneself in an ethical and professional manner

    · A clean driving record and be able to provide own transportation

    · Strong sales acumen and drive to generate sales from multiple sources

    Education and/or Experience: A successful candidate will have a bachelor's degree or equivalent and five (5) + years' sales experience. Experience in a supervisory role strongly preferred.
