    About pūlisse/YENSA:

    pūrlisse was created by Jennifer Yen, whose career as an actress under Hollywood's bright lights took a toll on her skin. This led her to go back to her grandmother's beauty rituals and share these remedies with women. Purlisse products harness the powers of Asian botanicals such as Blue Lotus and White Tea, into high-performing, nourishing, and effective formulas that are safe for sensitive skin.

    YENSA is inspired by Jennifer's last name and means Color + Face in Chinese. YENSA is the first Cosmetics meets Superfood Science brand. YENSA is a true hybrid of SuperFood Science, Complexion Cosmetics, and Superfoods. Each product is infused with 8 Superfoods, 8 representing good luck, prosperity, and infinite possibilities in Chinese culture. As YEN translates to passion and desire in English, Jennifer's YEN is to create a new era of beauty that combines cosmetics with Superfood science. She also drives to embrace the diversity in beauty today while inspiring people to face the world with confidence and to live their YEN.

    Position Overview:

    The Retail Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations, managing retailer operations, ensuring excellent customer service, and utilizing analytical skills for operational efficiency. This role is an in-office role, based in Los Angeles, CA, with the flexibility to work from home on Fridays.

    Responsibilities:

    • Provide exceptional operational support and work collaboratively with all external partners (3PL and retailers) to build strong and accountable relationships.
    • Assist in supply chain management with 3PL and retail partners (QVC, Nordstrom, Amazon, Costco, new partners).
    • Manage freight of inventory from domestic and international suppliers and track/document all updates and legal supports, managing inventory documentation to ensure shipments are on time and received in full.
    • Manage product inventory to ensure new SKUs are added and adequate stock levels are maintained with 3PL and retailers.
    • Ensure compliance with all internal control procedures, maintain inventory accuracy, and support inventory age analysis with 3PL to ensure all products meet shelf-life requirements.
    • Support DTC/B2B shipping processes and analyses to ensure orders are placed and sent on time and in full, providing all packing supplies and details as needed.
    • Own and oversee the creation and tracking of POs and packing slips, ensuring shipments are on time and received in full and invoices are paid, following up when necessary.
    • Support B2B processes and assist with onboarding of new retail partners.
    • Address and resolve order-related issues, including shipping and product defects.
    • Support marketing with the operational aspects of marketing initiatives such as inventory updates and product requests.
    • Work collaboratively with internal and external partners, responding and following up to requests quickly and accurately.
    • Provide support with ad hoc projects as needed.

    Qualifications:

    • Retail Operations and Store Management skills
    • Operations Management experience
    • Analytical Skills for data-driven decision making
    • Excellent customer service and communication skills
    • Strong organizational and leadership skills
    • Team play with the ability to work independently
    • Experience in the beauty or retail industry is a plus
    • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field is preferred
    • Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and any relevant software tools.
