Hershel Krom

I consider myself a creative individual with a keen sense and distinct perspective. My professional career has taken a lot of twists and turns, receiving my degree in Marine Biology, then going on to work in education, e-commerce, and eventually in school and I.T. administration. While my path has not been a straight line, my diverse background has allowed me to develop strong interpersonal communication, organizational, and problem solving skills which along with my technical proficiency, allow me to work in a wide array of setting and roles.

Through working in a variety of fields, I have learned that the value I add is not limited to any single environment, but I have the skills and approach to lead in many settings. I have been so incredibly fortunate for each position I have held, and I look forward to continuing to grow and develop my skills as I move forward in my career.

I've been fortunate to work in a number of fields including, research laboratories, education, administration, e-commerce, and film production. Being able to work in such diverse fields has provided me with a unique skillset which allows me thrive in a variety of work environments.

For several years I served in a management role with Amoeba Music, the largest independent record store in the world, helping to run the day to day operations for their website, amoeba.com. After moving on from that role I had the opportunity to serve as the registrar and front office coordinator for a prestigious private school in Los Angeles, Sinai Akiba Academy. Most recently I held the position of operations coordinator for Integritek, a managed IT service provider in Los Angeles. In all of these roles I worked directly with customers, clients, and staff to ensure satisfaction and success for the company I worked for and the individuals we served.

I received my Bachelor's degree in Marine Biology from the University of California, Santa Cruz. In obtaining my degree, I proved to myself and others the perseverance required to receive a challenging degree in biology, and I built up my own strengths which have continued to serve me throughout my career.
