    School Registered Nurse (RN) - 1:1 Support Needed (Burrillville School District)

    Make a Difference in a Child's Life - Provide Vital Care in a School Setting

    The Burrillville School District in Pascoag, RI is seeking a compassionate and dedicated School Registered Nurse (RN) to provide essential one-on-one care for a preschool student (currently in Pre-Kindergarten, transitioning to Kindergarten in the fall).

    About the Role:

    This part-time to full-time position offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on a student's life. We are seeking a highly skilled RN to join our team as soon as possible (CSY), continuing through the Extended School Year (ESY), and transitioning to a full-time schedule for the school year (NSY).

    Responsibilities:

    • Provide direct and comprehensive care to a student with a ventilator (Vivo 45 LS by Breas) throughout the school day, including:
      • Bus duty(before and after school - transportation provided)
      • Monitoring vital signs
      • Ventilator management and troubleshooting
      • Suctioning and airway managementas needed
      • Collaboration with the healthcare team, teachers, and family
      • Maintaining accurate medical records

    Qualifications:

    • Valid Rhode Island Registered Nurse (RN) License
    • Current CPR Certification
    • Previous experience with ventilator care (essential)
    • Familiarity with the Vivo 45 LS by Breas ventilator (preferred)
    • Pediatric nursing experience (a plus)
    • Strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills
    • Compassionate and patient demeanor
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
    • Valid driver's license (required for bus transportation setup)

    Schedule:

    • CSY (Current):Part-time, approximately 11:15 AM - 4:00 PM (hours may vary)
    • ESY (Start Date TBD):Part-time, mornings (likely 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM)
    • NSY :Full-time, approximately 8:00 AM - 3:45 PM (including bus ride time)
