    Job Description:
    G3 is searching for a Cyber Security Engineer to join a DoD client team in Arlington, VA.


    Duties and responsibilities:
    Collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure security engineering initiatives aligned with the operational needs within the SAP IT.

    Support the customer in researching, evaluating, planning, designing, engineering, and delivering cybersecurity solutions.

    Identify technical problems before or after they occur and implements solutions that prevent them from reoccurring.

    Provide guidance and oversight to defense contractors .

    Assist with the development of processes and procedures to improve incident response times.

    Investigate intrusion attempts across the SAP IT network and perform an in-depth analysis of exploits.

    Ability to express complex technical concepts effectively, both verbally and in writing.

    Ability to travel when needed by the program.

    Implement all applicable requirements to maintain Facility Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS)

    Demonstrate the ability to participate in cross-functional planning, coordination, and task execution situations involving the full spectrum of system integration activities

    Liaison between the various SAP directorates (Enterprise Architecture and Data)

    Provide oversight to the SAP Community on the latest vulnerabilities and identify remediation efforts

    Develop and implement new security mechanisms for the SAP Ecosystem

    Identify and select best-in-class threat prevent tools and software for the SAP Ecosystem

    Execute special projects as required

    Interact with technical leads, developers, and system owners to ensure that all technical requirements are aligned with SAP guidance


    Requirements:
    Active TS/SCI clearance

    Bachelor's degree or higher (Experience may be substituted)

    Must meet the DoD 8140 requirements

    Cloud certification is a plus

    Minimum seven (7) years of demonstrable DoD or SAP security experience (or 15 years of experience without degree)

    Understanding of DISA STIGs and Benchmarks

    Understanding of tools, e.g., SCAP, ACAS, Vulnerator, HBSS

    Must have analytical skills to evaluate risk, gather data, conduct security audits, and assess information to make critical decisions affecting network security

    Excellent written and verbal communication skills

    Knowledge of coding languages, intrusion detection, operating systems, security planning and auditing, ethical hacking and other security, programming, and diagnostic tools

    Experience leading and mentoring junior level staff

    Experience in one or more cloud computing services and technologies including but not limited to: AWS/C2S, Microsoft Azure, Nutanix, VMware

    Experience working in an Agile environment


    Desired:
    Experience with DevSecOps automation tools such as Terraform and CloudFormation.

    Experience with container and container management technologies like Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, etc.

    Extensive experience of AWS/Azure/GCP services

    Experience with installing, configuring, integrating, and maintaining tools and technologies like Jenkins, JIRA, SonarQube, Fortify, Git.

    Knowledge of cyber vulnerabilities and threat tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs).
