Duties:


As a Information Technology Specialist (INFOSEC), you will:

  • Provide knowledge and expertise to the Enterprise Cyber Risk Management Team to assist in establishing Cyber Risk Enterprise appetite, thresholds, risk registers and conducting analysis of cyber risks using a quantified approach.
  • Review and interpret new legislation or policy changes from publications such as Office of Management and Budget (OMB) and National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST).
  • Lead and/or participate in special Cyber Risks Management studies to integrate new concepts, policies, or procedures with IT systems and serve as a senior expert and consultant to top agency management official on integrating IT programs with other programs.

  • Must be U.S. Citizen or U.S. National.
  • A oneyear probationary period may be required.
  • Must successfully complete a background investigation.

Qualifications:


  • You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement.

Specialized Experience for the GS-14:You must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the
GS-13 grade level in the Federal service, public or other private sectors.

Specialized Experience for this position includes:

  • Experience developing, defining, managing, and documenting IT projects specific to cybersecurity; AND**
    Experience developing and interpreting policies for implementation in cybersecurity programs; AND:

  • Experience participating in making decisions and recommendations influencing IT/cybersecurity policies and programs.
In addition to specialized experience, individuals must have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies listed
