Division: Renewable Energy
GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The role of the Business Development Manager is to support the Renewable Energy Division, especially for the business development of new utility-scale renewable energy generation projects from the project identification stage through financial closing and start of construction. The Business Development Manager will work in the office alongside the Vice President of Renewable Energy Division.
Main accountabilities:
Manage the identification of prospective utility-scale renewable energy projects that possess suitable electric transmission access and site characteristics.
Establish and maintain relationships with market participants, including developers and independent power producers (IPPs), to identify potential projects.
Take responsibility for managing the project pipeline and providing progress reports as required.
Conduct financial analysis and modeling for the projects.
Monitor and analyze power market dynamics and relevant regulatory discussions.
Manage the financing strategy for projects, including tax equity arrangements.
Lead and execute development activities for assigned project(s), from inception to shovel-ready status.
Manage the internal project development team, ensuring alignment of workstreams with project schedule and budget, while motivating the team to efficiently pursue project goals.
Coordinate with contractors and consultants to prepare various studies (environmental, technical, financial, etc.) required for the project, in collaboration with external legal and financial advisors and other relevant parties, as instructed by the supervisor.
Attend periodic meetings with advisors such as Financial Advisor, Tax Advisor, and Insurance Advisor, and provide detailed meeting minutes.

Minimum qualifications:
5+ years of business development or other relevant experience
Experience of transactions for finance arrangement for renewable energy project
Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office software
BL degree required
Good business acumen
Knowledge and experience for finance arrangement such as tax equity, project finance
Must have a valid driver's license
Preferred qualifications:
8+ years of business development or other relevant experience
Business development and Project finance are preferred major fields
Self-starter with excellent interpersonal communication and problem-solving skills
Knowledge and experience of several transactions for renewable business related
Behavioral requirements:
Problem-solving skills and high attention to detail
Self-motivated and independent worker
Detail oriented to ensure accuracy in all documentation
Adapt to environmental and workflow changes
Ability to streamline functions and passion to learn and grow
Comfort dealing with ambiguity and the ability to work independently
Ability to ensure timely collection of documentation and ensure complete for submittal
Excellent organizational skills required
Physical demands & working conditions:
Sitting/Standing/Flexibility: Ability to stand and sit for eight (8) or more hours when in an office
environment
Lifting: Ability to lift items weighing up to 25 pounds
Safety: Ability to understand and communicate safety precautions when necessary
