Job DescriptionOur client is manufacturing company in the top of their industry. They are seeking a Senior Staff Accountant to play an integral role on their team. This position is ideal for someone who is looking for career growth and advancement. Responsibilities
Perform general ledger reconciliations and ensure the accuracy of financial data
Assist with month-end and year-end close processes
Prepare journal entries and maintain supporting documentation
Conduct financial analysis and provide recommendations for process improvements
Assist with the preparation of financial statements and reports
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather necessary information for financial reporting
Assist with internal and external audits as needed
Support the finance team in ad-hoc projects and initiatives
Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
Minimum of 2 years of experience in corporate accounting or a related field
Strong knowledge of financial concepts, accrual accounting, and general ledger reconciliation
Proficient in using accounting software,
Familiarity with SOX compliance requirements is preferred
Solid knowledge and understanding of AR and AP processes.
Familiarity with manufacturing inventory, job costing and bills of material
