JOB DESCRIPTION:
One of Insight Global's client in Higher Education is searching for a Hybrid Controller to join their team Full-Time on a Hybrid basis in Clearwater, FL.
This individual will be responsible for the following:
Performance of complex professional accounting transactions and reporting that requires the application of general accounting principles.
Developing project or department budgets.
Interpreting grant and contract regulations and their relation to accounting procedures.
Preparing financial statements and reports for internal and external audiences.
Researching the source and cause of discrepancies in accounting systems and maintaining the integrity of accounting systems.
Developing financial projections based on previous activity.
Processing payment requests.
Creation and allocation of funds.
Credit Card Reconciliations & Payments.
Invoice Payments.
Internal transfers of funding.
Preparing and approving journal entries and financial transactions.
Performance of other duties of a similar nature or level.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Certified Public Accountant in the state of Florida.
Associate Degree in Accounting, Business, or a related field.
5 years of Accounting or Auditing experience within a Non-Profit, Development, Foundation, or Fundraising organization.
Professional Accounting or Financial experience relating to Investments.
Knowledge and understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
Knowledge of applicable Federal & State rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office software (Excel, Word, Teams).
Proficiency with Financial Edge/Blackbaud.
