Role Summary/Purpose: In this role, you will support overall Portfolio Credit Management efforts for the JCPenney Credit Card portfolio.
This includes credit and operational risk evaluation, delinquency/loss mitigation, enforcement of risk policies and portfolio monitoring across the cardholder life cycle.
As a key member of the JCPenney portfolio credit team, you will use your strong communication and analytical skills to interact with the JCPenney Credit Team, represent Portfolio Credit on cross-functional initiatives and provide support to other Portfolio Credit team members.
We're proud to offer you choice and flexibility. You have the option to be remote, and work from home, or come into one of our offices.You may be occasionally requested to commute to our nearest office for in person engagement activities such as team meetings, training and culture events.
Essential Responsibilities:
+ Support the design and implementation of enhanced strategies, using champion/challenger learnings to manage credit and fraud risk + Ensure credit strategies are performing as expected + Drive and coordinate Loss Avoidance Initiatives + Support portfolio growth through close interaction with the JCPenney credit team, Senior PCMs, and the client team + Participate in planning cycle with Finance, Client Development, Marketing, and other functions to ensure consistency in business plans + Design enhanced surveillance processes to monitor and control credit exposure + Provide reporting and analysis for all product lines including consumer and commercial asset + Enforcement of existing Bank credit policies + Prepare and deliver client and internal presentations + Understand and monitor the operational risks of the portfolio + Investigate and resolve various customer and client issues + Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned Qualifications/Requirements: + Bachelor's degree and 4+ years of experience in a consumer and/or commercial Credit/Risk, Finance or Analytics role; or in lieu of a bachelor's degree, 6+ years of experience in a consumer and/or commercial Credit/Risk, Finance or Analytics role + 2+ years' experience in SAS, SQL or other related analytic tools
