This management position directs the activities of the Business Banking Team in a particular market. The Business Banking Team Manager is responsible and accountable for the quality and growth of the customer relationship portfolio through the sale and deployment of appropriate loan, deposit, and treasury management products to both existing and prospective bank customers. The Manger will participat in bank sponsored activities and community events.

    This is a full time, salaried, position. Monday through Friday. We offer competitive Medical, Dental & Vision benefits, plus an amazing PTO package and robust 401-K and Profit Sharing plans DOE, Minimum $160,000.00 year +.

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Is responsible for the growth and profitability of the teams portfolio of customers through the sale and delivery of appropriate lending, deposit, and treasury management products. Is accountable for developing and executing the business plan for the team; develops team and individual goals. Ensures that customers in the team portfolio receive excellent service and timely responses from team members. Participates directly in the business development and calling activities of the team.
    • Leads a team of Relationship Managers, Portfolio Managers, Credit Analysts, and Loan Assistants; hires qualified employees to fill these roles. Provide management direction to department personnel to ensure that all activities are performed in an efficient, effective, and customer service orientated manner. Evaluate the performance of direct reports and recommend appropriate salary adjustments, training, education, and advancement opportunities.
    • Accurately translate market trends and opportunities into meaningful action. Leverages lending policies and practices to achieve optimum market penetration through appropriate competitive rates, terms, loan structure, and use of complimentary products and services.
    • Is familiar with and follows bank policies, procedures, and periodic reporting requirements and ensures that department personnel are familiar with and adhere to the same. Ensures team members receive and complete assigned training within directed time frames. Ensures team members become proficient with bank policies and procedures as well as the use of the nCino Loan Origination System and related technology tools.
    • Underwrite and approve credit requests within designated lending authority. Review and ensure the accuracy and completeness of credit requests requiring Senior Credit Officer or loan committee approval. Exercises good judgment and risk management practices consistent with the Banks credit risk appetite.
    • Consistent with the Banks community development objectives, volunteers and participates in a leadership role with one or more community-based organizations within the market footprint.
    • Must comply with applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control.
    About You:

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • High school diploma or equivalent.
    • Ten or more years of increasingly responsible experience in commercial lending functions.
    • Experience with loan underwriting, processing, origination, and lending regulations.
    • Previous business development and management experience required.
    • Strong personnel management and team building skills
    • Solid credit underwriting skills
    • Proven marketing and recruiting skills
    • A commitment to community involvement
    • Expertise in compliance and bank regulations

    PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILL, ABILITY:

    • Bachelors degree in business, accounting, finance or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
    • Knowledge of Mountain West Banks products and services.

    WORK ENVIRONMENT: Must be able to routinely perform work indoors in climate-controlled shared work area with minimal noise.

    Must be able to operate routine office equipment including computer terminals and keyboards, telephones, copiers, facsimiles, and calculators. Must be able to routinely perform work on computer for an average of 6-8 hours per day, when necessary. Must be able to work extended hours or travel off site whenever required or requested by management. Must be capable of regular, reliable and timely attendance. Must be capable of climbing / descending stairs in an emergency situation.

    Specific lifting abilities required by this job include: Sedentary work. Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met.

    Specific vision abilities required by this job include: The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or operation/inspection of machines and/or using measurement devices at distances close to the eyes.
