Description
Develop contents and provide actions with meaning through internal and external communications platformsincluding press relations, external/internal events and owned media (corporate website, SNS) to nourish, leverage
and protect Danone Japan (BU:
dairy & evian) and its brands reputation, on and offline in order to enable each BU to
achieve their mission/vision/business goal and maximizing their stakeholders' engagement and corporate value
internally and externally.
Internal & External Communications Lead:
・Capturing BU needs including potentials on internal and external communications and building strategy under
the guidance of GS Director to align with BU side and executing it in a timely manner.
・Optimizing internal & external communications projects and maximizing its business impact on BU.
・Under the guidance of GS Director, leading the communication function in Crisis Management Team.
・Localizing and animating global comms. plans at BU level through harmonization with global Corporate
Affairs/GS policy/guidance and getting Danone Culture alive, amplifying the effect under local context.
Expected to follow-through a PDCA of following initiatives:
・Strategy planning and implementation:
Annual strategy planning and implementation.
・Sensitive and Crisis Communications Lead:
SNS monitoring before/during/after crisis, strategy planning and implementation working closely with BUCM, Legal and relevant functions.
・Online and offline media relations (Company and brands): Managing local media relations and cultivating strong media relationships, developing press events and materials for the media online and offline, identifying and maximizing media opportunities (newspaper, TV, magazine, Internet), managing interviews with company's spokespersons, supporting and promoting Danone's global and local initiatives, including Danone Nations Cup.
・Communication training & consultation:
Consultation of who to speak what, why, when, where and how, e.g., media interviews, townhall meetings and providing media/communication training as needed.
・Company story telling:Identification & leveraging relevant global and local Company stories to build/maintain Danone Company's image in Japan to inspire and engage stakeholders.
・Employee Engagement & Corporate event management: Leading "Danone Day","Family Day", "New Year Convention" and other company wide events in HQ and Tatebayashi Factory.
・Digital corporate ecosystem activation:
Planning and implementation of company's local website/SNS strategy (external) and internal communications channels/tools, e.g., Workplace, digital signage (office & factory) to ensure the consistency of internal/external One Danone Voice and reaching relevant stakeholders.
・Contribution to communication validation process of brand contents: Assessment ofcontents from media/public opinion/ethics point of view (BONITA claim validation
process).
・Monitoring & Reporting:
Capturing and monitoring the mass media /public opinion to feedback to Danone's business; regularly reporting progress to the relevant brand managers and General Secretary Director as appropriate.
Education background:
Preferred experience:
7 years or more experience in Corporate Communications, Product PR and PR agency management
Technical Skills and Experiences required
・Expertise in corporate/brand/product PR/Communications at > mid-size, international company
・ Solid communication and inter-personal skills as a corporate communicator
・ Knowledge, skill and experience in sensitive and crisis communications
・ Literacy and curiosity in digital communications field
・ Ability to write simple and easy-to-understand message for internal/external usage
