    Accounting & HR Manager

    About Us

    We have the largest property management portfolio in the beach area and we manage over 1700 units. The company is growing at 5% per year and has a solid growth plan in place. We are a full service property management company with 35 employees.

    The company is currently organized around three departments or groups:
    property management, accounting and maintenance. Each group has a leader fully responsible for his/her group.

    Job Summary:


    This position requires a person that has well rounded skills in multiple areas including accounting, human resources and operational duties.

    We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounting & HR Manager to join our team.

    This role will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations of the entire company, ensuring accuracy of accounting records and compliance with financial regulations.

    They will also oversee all aspects of the HR function, including recruitment, onboarding, payroll, benefits, compliance with labor laws and regulations, and other tasks as needed.

    The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting principles and financial analysis.


    Responsibilities:

    • Manage and supervise the daily operations of the accounting department.
    • Prepare and review financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
    • Work closely with the accounting department personnel to stay on schedule with various monthly tasks and oversee.
    • Conduct regular financial audits to ensure accuracy and compliance.
    • Reconcile balance sheet accounts and resolve any discrepancies.
    • Collaborate with internal teams to provide support, identify and correct owner financial issues.
    • Provide guidance and support to junior accounting staff.
    • Stay updated on industry trends, financial concepts, and regulatory changes.
    • Reconcile various bank accounts and assists the CPA with the Trust Account reconciliation.
    • Issue 1099s
    • Manage the recruitment process, including job postings, screening resumes, and scheduling interviews, and coordinate onboarding and new employee set up with IT and benefit providers.
    • Administer employee benefits programs and ensure accurate recordkeeping.
    • Maintain HR records and prepare reports as needed.
    • Stay current on industry trends and best practices in HR.

    Requirements:
    Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance (preferred)

    Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or finance roles

    HR operations experienced desired.

    Supervisory experience a plus.

    Strong knowledge of financial concepts including detailed account reconciliation.

    Proficiency in income statement and balance sheet reconciliation.

    Excellent analytical and problem solving skills. Ability to conduct detailed financial analysis.

    Strong understanding of regulatory reporting requirements.

    Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.

    Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

    Knowledge of QuickBooks and Property Management Software preferred.

    $95, $115,000.00 per year
