- Have existing relationships to generate new business across the various asset classes within healthcare real estate including ambulatory surgery centers, medical office buildings, hospitals, behavioral centers, etc.
- Work closely with the current investment team to identify and evaluate potential investment opportunities.
- Identify and analyze the major risks affecting an investment opportunity.
- Post-investment, the real estate partner will work closely with the owners and management teams of real estate projects to help them achieve their full potential.
- Ability to serve as both a functional and industry expert; assess and confirm each company's needs pre-investment and post-investment; and support & monitor execution and results.
- Sourcing appropriate acquisition properties nationally.
- Highly skilled in new business generation and the ability to generate relationships through repeat client business.
- Proven track record of generating new real estate opportunities through existing relationships and creating new relationships.
- Experience in multiple real estate asset classes and project types.
- A strong understanding of risk management and ability to underwrite deals.
- Ability to quickly understand the primary drivers of a variety of real estate opportunities understand the risk associated with the opportunity and structure the deal accordingly.
- Strong communication skills, including the soft skills needed to influence and garner trust from CEOs.
- Ability to listen to and interact effectively with clients and colleagues from various cultural backgrounds.
- Highly motivated and energetic, with collegial and sharing work style.
- Adaptability, resourcefulness, and work ethic needed to thrive on a small team in a challenging frontier market.
- Entrepreneurial, hands-on, problem-solving attitude suited for working with few subordinates or external intermediaries, but pro-actively seeking counsel when needed.
- High professional integrity and sound business judgment when working with colleagues, potential partners, and businesses.
- Relevant undergraduate degree, with preference given to candidates with an MBA or Master's degree in a relevant field such as Operations, Engineering, or Supply Chain Management
- Minimum of 10 years' work experience in commercial real estate and healthcare investing, operational management (generalist or specialist), or other relevant leadership roles in companies or private equity firms
- Familiarity with real estate debt and equity investing and evaluating a variety of real estate investment opportunities.
- Experience dealing with lenders and equity groups.

The firm has had direct involvement in over $1BN worth of transactions across Arizona, New Mexico, California, Washington, Colorado, Utah, and more.
Role Summary:
The Managing Director, reporting directly into the CEO, will be expected to generate new business opportunities and take part in both pre-investment and post-investment activities. The partner will be expected to have experience in health care real estate throughout the U.S.
This experience should include ground up construction projects, value add projects, the purchase and renovation of existing properties, sale lease back to name a few.
